Detailed case studies documenting our immediate loading protocol. See how patients walk out with fixed teeth the same day as their implant surgery.
Immediate loading (also called "teeth in a day" or "same-day teeth") is an advanced protocol where a fixed prosthesis is attached to dental implants within 72 hours of surgery, rather than waiting the traditional 3-6 months.
Not every patient is a candidate for immediate loading. Success depends on:
Patient had been wearing an upper denture for 5 years and was frustrated with the lack of stability, inability to taste food properly due to palate coverage, and social embarrassment when the denture moved while eating or speaking.
CBCT analysis revealed adequate bone in the anterior maxilla and adequate length for angled implants in the posterior. The All-on-4 immediate loading protocol was recommended.
Under IV sedation, remaining upper roots were extracted. Four Straumann BLX implants were placed - 2 vertical in the anterior, 2 angled at 30 degrees in the posterior. All implants achieved primary stability >45 Ncm. Impressions taken immediately after surgery.
Our in-house lab worked through the night to fabricate a PMMA fixed bridge based on the surgical impression and pre-planned design.
Fixed provisional bridge was screwed onto the implants. Occlusion was carefully adjusted. Patient left with fixed teeth that looked and functioned naturally.
Post-operative review, minor adjustments, detailed home care instructions. Patient discharged with confidence and a big smile.
After confirmed osseointegration, provisional replaced with final zirconia prosthesis featuring highly aesthetic, individual tooth characterization.
"Walking out of the clinic on Day 2 with fixed teeth was surreal. After 5 years of that awful denture, I suddenly had teeth that didn't move, didn't need adhesive, and let me taste my food again. The immediate loading protocol was a game-changer for me. I didn't have to go through months of wearing a denture while waiting for implants to heal. Highly recommend this approach to anyone who qualifies."
Patient fractured her upper front tooth in a sports accident. The fracture extended below the gum line, making the tooth non-restorable. As a professional who frequently presents to clients, she needed an immediate aesthetic solution.
Immediate implant placement with immediate provisional crown. This approach allows extraction, implant placement, and crown delivery in a single appointment - the patient never has to be without a front tooth.
Send us your X-rays and we'll evaluate if immediate loading is right for you.
